Ramalan Terbukti, Paul diklaim jadi Milik Italia
Paul memprediksi Spanyol menjadi juara dunia mengalahkan Belanda, juga kemenangan Jerman atas Uruguay dalam laga perebutan juara ketiga di Stadion Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth, Minggu (11/7) dinihari WIB.
Ramalan Paul pun terbukti. Spanyol sukses meraih gelar Juara Piala Dunia 2010 atas Belanda dengan skor tipis 1-0.
Sukses meramal hasil pertandingan Piala Dunia, Paul Gurita langsung diklaim menjadi milik Italia. Menurut media Italia, Paul ditemukan di perairan Italia dan bernama asli Paolo, bukan Paul seperti yang diberitakan selama ini.
Media Italia melaporkan, pelatih gurita tersebut, Verena Bartsch telah memberi tahu tabloid Jerman, Bild, edisi Minggu, bahwa Bartsch menangkap Paul pada April di laut di lepas pantai Pulau Elba, Italia, di dekat Tuscany. Dan berusia empat pekan saat ditangkap.
Pernyataan versi Bartsch itu bertentangan dengan biografi resmi Paul, yang menyatakan gurita itu berusia dua tahun dan berasal dari Weymouth, Inggris, sebelum dimasukkan ke dalam akuarium di Jerman barat.
